Subramanya: Vijay Mallya of the United Breweries Group
will offer two gold-plated doors to Subrahmanya Temple at 4:00 p.m. today.
Mallya, who had visited the temple this April,
had vowed to offer two gold-plated doors. Accordingly, he will present the two
doors made of 2.5kg gold, worth Rs. 80 lakh.
The doors have been created by a group of artists in Mala, Karkala under the guidance of master artist Sudhakar Dongre. The group took 2 months to complete the two doors, which are now rare works of art.
The doors will be placed at the entrance of the temple’s sanctum sanctorum.
