Mangalore: H.Ibrahim,a father of 5 children is a worker in scrap business. He is a resident of valpadi village near Moodbidire. His 7 member family is living in a tent like shift house having a roof of torn tarpoline and the walls of torn rice bags. Ibrahim is an middle aged person and has 2 teenage daughters.
It is difficult for Ibrahim to look after his family. His small children are going for school. He is earning money by collecting plastic,bottles and other used items from the road and selling it to the gujari merchants. During monsoon season,the water is pouring inside his house from the torn tarpuline roof. Wind is blowing inside from the torn rice bag walls.He is not in a position to build a safe house for his family. The family is sleeping on a wet plastic and rice bag beds during monsoon.
