UAE weather: Temperatures forecast to drop for cooler Eid holidays

The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has predicted that the weather on Tuesday will be hot and dusty in general during the day.

While overall temperatures have begun to slide from highs of 48°C-49°C, it is the humidity that could climb to as high as 90 per cent in coastal areas and reach a high of 85 per cent in the interiors.

The centre’s forecast says that the temperatures will be 38°C in Fujairah, 42°C in Dubai and Ajman, 43°C in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah and 45°C in Al Ain.

The clouds will increase to the east and south, with a chance of cumulus clouds forming in the afternoon over some of these areas.

The wind is expected to be mild to brisk, stirring dust and sand. The sea will be mild to moderate.

The movement of wind on the coastal areas is expected to be easterly and it will become northerly and northwesterly in the afternoon.
It will then turn east and become northeasterly at night and on Wednesday morning.

The wind speed will range between 18-22 knots and sometimes reach 28 knots. -Emirates247-
