Moodubelle, 12 September 2012: The bike rider Girish
Acharya (29) who was seriously injured in the Bus – Bike accident on
Monday morning in Nellikatte near Moodubelle, died on Tuesday evening at
05.45 pm in KMC Hospital Manipal. He is the son of Anantha Acharya and
Sumitra of Moodubelle. Girish was working in Alevoor Raampura Gayathri
Wood Works. At the time of the accident Girish Acharya was taking his
nephew Savan (9) to School in Alevoor on the bike.
A city bus collided with this bike at Nellikatte, near Moodubelle on
Monday morning at 08.30 am, seriously injuring both the bike riders.
After the accident both were admitted to KMC hospital Manipal and the
condition of Girish was critical and was in ICU, but could not survive.
Savan is still admitted in the hospital and is under treatment. It is
said that the accident took place due to the negligence of the driver. - UT
