The Eid Al Fitr holidays for ministries and
other federal government institutions will begin on Friday, August 17,
2012, (29th Ramadan 1433) and will last until the 3rd of the month of
Shawwal.
Work will resume on the 4th of Shawwal, according to a circular issued by Humaid Mohammed Obaid Al Qattami, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources. Al Qatami offered greetings to the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of Emirates. The minister also offered greetings to the people of UAE and the Arab and Muslim countries around the world.
Meanwhile, Minister of Labour Saqr Ghobash issued a ministerial circular announcing the first and second days of the month of Shawwal as Eid Al Fitr holidays for all establishments in the private sector. Ghobash also offered Eid greetings to the leadership and the people of UAE and Arab and Muslim countries. - KT
